Oracle Looks to Europe to Learn What Manufacturers Want Most

Lean supply-chain experts from Oracle just completed an extended road trip throughout Europe with one important goal in mind—to hear firsthand about manufacturers’ pain points and what technology innovations can provide relief.

“We met with customers and prospects alike to gain insights into the capabilities, usability requirements, and the overall strategic and development directions Oracle needs to take to help global supply chains become more efficient,” says Stephen Slade, Oracle’s senior director of applications and industries marketing.

The group will also use the information to compare business trends and supply-chain needs across Eastern and Western Europe. The executives visited companies that are either using or considering Oracle Manufacturing and Asset Lifecycle Management solutions. The trip included stops in cities throughout Finland, France, Spain, Switzerland, and the U.K.

“We will be delivering new capabilities in the upcoming releases of those products, and we want to make sure they are consistent with the requirements of manufacturers,” Slade adds. “We’re also prioritizing new capabilities as we move into v12.x and Fusion products.”
