Oracle Accelerate Gains Momentum with Rapid Global Expansion
In response to growing global demand for affordable, quick-to-deploy software applications, the Oracle Accelerate program expanded dramatically in the second half to 2008 to a total of 230 solutions, with 129 partners serving 53 industry segments in 33 countries.

Two segments in particular led the recent growth in the Accelerate program. Partners are leveraging Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to help midsize industrial manufacturers reduce costs and maximize productivity on the manufacturing floor. And partners in Europe are offering the first Accelerate solutions based on Oracle's Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).

“Today more than ever, midsize companies need solutions that they can quickly and cost effectively deploy with limited disruption to their business,” says Michael Fauscette, group vice president, software business solutions, IDC.

“Oracle Accelerate solutions are often the right fit for midsize companies because they are based on affordable applications with critical industry functionality that can be delivered on a very short timeline—usually within three to six months,” adds Fauscette.

About Oracle Accelerate
Oracle Accelerate combines affordable product and industry bundles, rapid implementation tools, and an extensive network of partners with regional, industry, and industry segment expertise.

With Oracle Accelerate, midsize organizations benefit from the same enterprise-class software as their larger competitors, rather than "dumbed-down" versions. At the same time, they avoid the risk and complexity traditionally associated with the implementation and management of these solutions.
