Three Key Oracle On Demand Innovations Unveiled at Special New York Event
On April 17, 2007, more than 150 reporters, financial analysts, and Oracle customers gathered at the Pratt House in New York City to learn how key innovations are moving Oracle On Demand from a niche product to a mainstream solution.
Co-hosted by Oracle President Charles Phillips and Juergen Rottler, executive vice president, Oracle Customer Services and Oracle On Demand, the event provided a first look at three key innovations, including
- Siebel CRM On Demand Release 14, which includes new usability features that leverage the latest in Web 2.0 and Ajax browser technology.
- Oracle On Demand's managed applications offerings, which now include Oracle business intelligence applications for Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft Enterprise, and Siebel CRM applications—all managed seamlessly by Oracle on the customer's behalf.
- Key components of the new Oracle Application Integration Architecture, which bridges traditional operational silos by bringing together pre-built, sustainable integrations, open standards–based architecture, and documented industry best practices.
Phillips kicked off the event with a keynote in which he explained why grid computing and Oracle Application Integration Architecture provide a solid technology infrastructure for the next generation of Oracle On Demand solutions. Rottler followed up by discussing the rapidly expanding choice of applications Oracle is offering to Oracle On Demand customers.
The event also included an interactive Q&A with Oracle On Demand customers, including executives from Genworth Financial, Equifax, McGraw-Hill, GE Plastics, Roll International, Worthington Industries, and JDS Uniphase.
Finally, top financial analysts quizzed Oracle executives about how on demand services will transform the entire business applications profitability model.
