Two New Tools Save Time and Money in R12 Training and Documentation

Two interactive tools with a track record for saving training time and money for Oracle procurement applications are becoming available for the iProcurement module in Oracle E-Business Suite Release.

The User Productivity Kit (UPK) is now shipping with best practices content for E-Business Suite Release 12, along with UPK's easy-to-use software tools for recording dynamic Web-based, interactive training on how to complete the various application transactions that support procurement processes.

The companion tool, Tutor 12, provides model procedures and business flows mapped to Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12. This Tutor content, along with the simple Tutor software, gives process owners a jump-start to easily create, modify, and maintain business process documentation that covers the people-to-people activities that surround the use of applications. Tutor-built process documentation also helps organizations comply with ISO, Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, and other compliance initiatives.

Both tools can work together to cut the time and resources needed to train thousands of end-users or suppliers "Tutor and UPK have a large impact on cost savings and supplier management," says Beth Renstrom, principal product manager for UPK and Tutor.

Oracle studies have shown that the business-process best practices content included in UPK and Tutor, along with their tools for creating custom content, can cut the time required to create training and process documentation by 80 percent or more.

The new releases complement existing versions for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Procurement and Subcontract Management and PeopleSoft Enterprise Services Procurement.

For more information see the new Webcast "Achieving a Superior Ownership Experience with UPK and Tutor" and the demo "Productive Day One".
