Oracle Named a Leader in Electronic Invoice Applications

Independent research firm Forrester Research recently named two Oracle applications as a "leader" in the category of accounts payables—electronic invoice presentment and payment (AC-EIPP).

The June 2008 Forrester Wave: Accounts Payables-Electronic Invoice Presentment and Payment, Q2 2008, evaluated 10 vendors using 78 criteria to compare product lines for their current offerings, strategies, and market presence.

According to Forrester, EIPP products within Oracle E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft Enterprise both rate as leading options for companies that are already using the finance and procurement modules of those products.

The report states, "EIPP products streamline the invoice-to-pay process by receiving invoices directly from suppliers' systems, automatically validating them against supporting documents, such as purchase orders, and loading them into payment systems."

Oracle Procure-to-Pay, part of Oracle E-Business Suite, is an integrated solution that links purchasing and payables to maximize return on invested capital. With Oracle Procure-to-Pay, customers can reduce cost to improve margins, streamline procure-to-pay processes, and drive compliance to optimize asset usage.

PeopleSoft Enterprise Payables, within Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial Management, enables users to efficiently manage disbursements while keeping close control of approval processes and payments.

"We believe Oracle's position with Oracle E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft Enterprise, both named a leader in Forrester's Wave for AP-EIPP, is further proof of our position as a leader in the industry and a reflection of our commitment to help reduce costs for customers," said Terrance Wampler, Oracle vice president of financial applications.
