New Webcast Series Shows How to Transition to Next-Generation Government Applications

Oracle is finalizing plans for a four-part series of Webcasts beginning in December that will help public sector agencies launch next-generation applications to improve delivery of services and communicate better with constituents.

The Webcasts will detail Oracle’s vision for Oracle iGovernment, a framework for modernizing IT infrastructures and making it easier for agencies to share and manage information within the government and with citizens.

The four-part series will be hosted by Juan Rada, Oracle senior vice president for the public sector and education and health sciences. The first installment will take place at 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET on December 3, 2008. It will provide an overview of the challenges facing government organizations today, the limits of e-government for solving these challenges, and ways Oracle can take organizations beyond e-government to Oracle iGovernment. Register now.

Future Webinars will detail other important elements of Oracle iGovernment:

  • Modernizing the IT Infrastructure
  • Improving Efficiency and Transparency
  • Transforming Government Service Delivery

Oracle iGovernment offers tools to develop flexible systems that integrate across service functions and departments using a service-oriented architecture (SOA); open standards; and a platform of database, middleware, and applications.
