Oracle OpenWorld Preview: Boost Efficiency, Collaboration, and Revenue Generation
Among the 1,400 business and technical sessions scheduled for Oracle OpenWorld 2007 (November 1115 in San Francisco) are dozens of presentations that hit at core public sector needs—how to improve efficiency, cross-agency collaboration, and revenue generation.
These events will feature experts from public sector agencies and Oracle who will provide real-world best practices for helping governments deliver citizen services more effectively through better internal operations.
Efficiency and Transparency
"Increasing Efficiency and Transparency” tackles the quest of governments worldwide to become more responsive and accountable as they modernize operations and enhance services. This session will highlight Oracle technologies that help government managers adapt to changing government regulations, reduce procurement costs, increase compliance, and integrate information from multiple departments.
Collaboration and Integration
Whether they're federal, state and provincial, or local, government agencies need to integrate programs and systems across departments and jurisdictions. "Collaborating to Deliver Citizen Services,” shows how agencies use centralized government contact centers that provide a comprehensive view of citizens across departments and agencies, while also helping to manage cases and workloads.
Revenue and Taxation
"Improving Revenue Generation” presents a panel discussion describing solutions for more effectively generating, processing, collecting and analyzing revenues in the public sector. The primary focus of this presentation will be how three types of applications--business intelligence, tax and revenue management, and relationship management--can improve operational and revenue results for both self-funded organizations and those responsible for revenue collection.
