Oracle Unveils Industry's Most Complete, Integrated Suite for Insight Driven Retailing

Launched on June 17, 2008, Oracle Retail Release 13 is delivering what is widely recognized as the industry's most complete and integrated suite of applications for insight driven retailing.

"The future of retailing will bring profitable results to businesses that can adapt to changing consumer needs and use intelligence to drive repeat shoppers at each channel," says Duncan Angove, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Retail. "With Oracle Retail Version 13, Oracle is extending its leadership in providing retailers around the world with technology that helps them to transform the economics of their business by yielding measurable business results."

Insight Driven Retailing
With Oracle Retail Release 13, merchants can make better decisions from store to supply chain thanks to integrated, end-to-end business processes with embedded retail intelligence, including optimized pricing, assortment plans and store layouts, and localized merchandising.

The new Oracle Regular Price Optimization feature, for example, completes Oracle's price lifecycle optimization suite. The new Wholesale feature provides retailers with a new channel opportunity to grow market share by selling products to other businesses. And the Multiple Sets of Books functionality and Stock Ledger VAT enhancements assist retailers that are expanding across global borders.

Just as important, the new Merchant Workspace feature provides users single sign-on and reporting capabilities across solutions for rapid, intelligent business decision-making.

Measurable Results for Retailers of All Sizes
With the launch of Oracle Retail Release 13, Oracle continues to provide greater measurable value to retailers with tools that support winning assortments and more profitable growth in stores—even as the solution is designed to minimize total cost of ownership (TCO).

For example, a Retail Portal provides centralized insight to daily information, plus the ability to act quickly on new trends and information. Oracle Retail Release 13 also helps companies establish best practices across their organization while providing enhancements for companies expanding globally to drive greater profits.
