New Integration Pack Delivers Greater Fiscal Control for Retailers Running PeopleSoft Enterprise Financials

At the 2009 National Retail Federation (NRF) BIG Show, Oracle announced plans to deliver the Oracle Retail Merchandising Integration Pack for Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Financials, designed to enhance financial control of the entire merchandising lifecycle.

Built on Oracle Application Integration Architecture, the new integration pack is expected to provide enhanced inventory valuation, more-timely revenue recognition, and streamlined procure-to-pay merchandising processes.

The integration pack is also expected to help retailers avoid costly point-to-point integrations as well as custom mapping of data attributes.

"The solution is designed to reduce complexity, making it easier for retailers to take advantage of opportunities for short-term value creation within their businesses while also helping to provide long-term competitive advantage," says Duncan Angove, general manager and senior vice president, Oracle Retail.

Increased Visibility, Better Control
By integrating the Oracle Retail merchandising applications with PeopleSoft Enterprise Financials, the new pack is designed to give retailers and merchandising and accounting managers greater financial visibility.

Expected benefits include synchronization among various operating groups, visibility into when financial postings occur, and assurance that supplier payments occur in a timely manner.
