Thinking BIG: Oracle Retail Stakes Out Flagship Presence at January's NRF Show

From a two-story booth in a prime location to networking activities like the BIG CIO Party, Oracle Retail is staking out a flagship presence at this year's National Retail Federation (NRF) BIG Show, which will take place in New York's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center January 10-13.

Already the industry leader with all 20 of the world's top global retailers as customers, Oracle Retail plans to demonstrate the ways its solutions are helping transform the economics of retail—especially vital as the global economy moves toward recovery.

Hot topics at this year’s conference are expected to include

  • The new consumer. Retailers are struggling to understand how consumer habits and values have changed. Oracle will showcase solutions to help retailers respond more quickly to shifting behavior, run leaner operations, and offer maximum value to consumers while protecting margins.
  • Green retailing. Interest in green retailing is genuine and growing. In response, Oracle will feature its newly launched Oracle Integrated Inventory Planning Suite, designed to squeeze waste out of the supply chain and significantly reduce environmental impacts.
  • Mobility and social networking. From iPhones to Twitter, retailers are rapidly adopting social networking and mobile communications to attract and retain customers. Discover more about Oracle's social networking initiatives.

Oracle Sponsors Session with Tesco’s Terry Leahy
At this year's show, Oracle is sponsoring a super-session with special guest Sir Terry Leahy, CEO of Tesco—the world's third-largest retailer and a longtime Oracle customer. Leahy is expected to address leadership, loyalty, and transparency in retail.

Business Performance Clinic
To help attendees negotiate a hyper-competitive environment, Oracle will offer a Business Performance Clinic in which retailers can instantly benchmark their performance against publicly traded peers.

Oracle representatives will be available to evaluate results and discuss ways to boost performance and align technology investments with business priorities.

One-Stop Shopping
Located just inside the entrance of the show floor, Oracle's bi-level booth will feature several kiosks covering the entire Oracle Retail footprint. Attendees will be able to see Oracle Database and Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies in action, as well as industry-leading storefront, central office, back office, and business intelligence solutions.

Attendees can also to learn about solutions specific to their vertical segment, including fashion, grocery, and hardlines.
