More Organizations Turning to Oracle Content Management

From giant Allstate Insurance to highly respected progressive consulting engineering firm POWER Engineers, more and more companies are turning to Oracle's content management solutions as they struggle to manage ever-increasing quantities of structured and unstructured content.

"In a business like ours—property and casualty insurance—the amount of structured and unstructured data that moves through our business processes is astonishing," says Anthony Abbattista, vice president of enterprise technology strategy and planning for Allstate Insurance and Oracle Magazine's Content Management Architect of the Year.

"To manage that data, we're automating and virtualizing many of our business processes with Oracle Content Management to increase efficiency and to attract and retain customers," said Abbattista.

With hundreds of team members working on more than 2,000 concurrent projects, POWER Engineers—an Idaho-based company specializing in the energy, facilities, and communications markets—must also handle vast quantities of documents with the utmost control and precision.

Loren Dugan, IT Director at POWER Engineers, says he sleeps better at night knowing that "Oracle's Database is the underlying fabric holding together everything together for us."

A recent video features Dugan, as well as Macerich's Brian Schwarz, manager of business analysis, and Avagos's Andy Nallapan, IPC lead manager, applications solutions services, discussing the ways their companies are relying on Oracle enterprise content management.
