Oracle's Siebel Universal Customer Master Wins Gold Award in Bloor Research Study
Bloor Research, a leading IT research, analyst, and consultancy firm, has recognized Oracle's Siebel Universal Customer Master in the Hubs vendor category as the strongest product offering in its 2006 report on master data management (MDM). Bloor acknowledged Siebel with the highest honor, the Gold Award, citing its "strong heritage of enabling organizations to take advantage of product upgrades, even in implementations involving extensive customization of data model, business objectives, and processes."
The new report by Bloor Research shines light on the positive impact that master data management (MDM) solutions are having on companies eager to comply with regulatory demands and improve business processes in order to remain competitive.
The report articulates how MDM solutions help companies identify important enterprise objects, such as a customer, product, or supplier, and improve the consistency, quality, and reliability of that object's definition by establishing context and object relationships. It also provides details on how MDM solutions leverage a center hub to best maintain the identities, attributes, and transactional data associated with all participating applications.
The report also describes how MDM solutions offer greater enterprisewide visibility, including reporting functionality to comply with corporate governance and business processes that reach across lines of business and enterprise boundaries due to new, innovative applications built on service-oriented architecture.
Oracle's Siebel Universal Customer Master's core data model is based on a subset of Siebel CRM. The product offers extensive customization of the data model, business objects, and processes to serve business customers in the MDM market.
Oracle's Siebel Universal Customer Master launched over two years ago and now has more than 50 customers.
