Release 9 of PeopleSoft Enterprise Human Capital Management Gives A Better View of Your Workforce

The upcoming PeopleSoft Release 9 for Human Capital Management is targeted to give human resources and business managers more comprehensive views of their workforce resources. Planned capabilities will make it easier to match people with skill requirements, find qualified candidates quickly, and manage reporting.

Enterprise-wide talent management. Human Resources managers need a global view of staff members by comparing their individual competencies and workplace skills with the capabilities needed to do their jobs. "The application will bring these two pieces together to make sure that the right person is doing the right job or that companies find the best fit when a position becomes available," says Tracy Martin, Oracle's senior director of PeopleSoft HCM strategy

"Smart Hire". Managers also need to compress the sometimes time-consuming process of filling positions when business requirements dictate that new hires need to get on board quickly. The tool is designed to let managers create templates based upon their industry's needs. "Managers can fill in the key personal information they need from candidates to complete a hire, and the information is then integrated into the HR system," Martin explains.

XML Publisher. This XML-based component provides a way of tagging data elements in documents to simplify reporting. Tags identify information necessary for W2 and I9 forms for standardized data gathering.
