Association for Manufacturing Excellence Conference Highlights the ROI of Lean

Oracle will demonstrate the role of technology in efforts by companies to achieve lean Six Sigma transformations at the annual conference of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence, in Dallas from Oct. 16th to the 20th.

Among Oracle's contributions to the conference will be the presentation, "Leveraging Technology: The Latest Frontier of Lean; Going Mobile to Enable Customer Value."

Presented by Tom Demrick, Oracle senior director industrial manufacturing and distribution, this session will detail the shared vision of Oracle and Intel for how manufacturing companies can use technology for business advantage.

The presentation will define what a Service Oriented Enterprise (SOE) is and how it can use virtualized, Grid infrastructures to rapidly deploy new technologies like wireless and RFID. A series of short customer examples will show how these technologies are delivering tangible benefits and ROIs today.
