JANUARY 2010

This Month’s Featured Topic: Tuning into Java EE 6

On Dec. 10, Java EE 6 SDK was released into the wild. Although the associated resources are abundant, we've decided to bring you a small subset of them here. Of particular interest is the nearly parallel release of EclipseLink 2.0, which serves as the reference implementation for JPA in the Java EE 6 spec.

In other news, note the new proposed Eclipse Project for Enterprise OSGi ("Gemini") by Oracle and SpringSource, intended to enable access to standard enterprise technology implementations within a modular framework. It is certain to become quite influential.

Happy New Year!
