Customers who had previously chosen a different database system for their SAP installation frequently find that they are not happy with it anymore and that it would be a good idea to migrate to Oracle. Among the reasons for migrating are performance or availability problems, the inability of their current database to support a growing workload, the fact that SAP no longer supports this particular database or simply – as one customer put it – that they "didn't want to be one of the few but one of many".
