| Description | |
Key Performance Indicators measure how well an organization or individual performs an operational, tactical or strategic activity that is critical for the current and future success of the organization. The KPI watchlist will be created as part of products that will be available with OBIEE v 11. and will be available for embedding into Fusion ADF pages; the editor will not be exposed into an ADF page. Thus the only "real" KPI watchlist is available from the (formerly Siebel) technology that builds/delivers a BI dashboard. The experience will be similar to embedding reports/views - i.e. create the KPIs and watchlists in OBIEE and then embed it in an ADF page. The idea is that a designer/developer will be able to create a strategy tree which can be viewed as a watchlist or a tree. In addition to watchlists and strategy trees, Fusion developers should also be able to get other views that will be included in BSC - like strategy maps, cause and effect maps etc. Alternatively, instead of leveraging the OBIEE component, some teams have decided to create a "fake" KPI Watchlist (creating an ADF Table with iindicators, for displaying KPIs in Fusion ADF pages). This document refers to this type of KPI List, which displays KPIs in a standard ADF table (similar to the Analytic Table). |

The KPI Watchlist contains a list of KPIs displayed in a tabular format that shows current status (including alerts), along with key information and analysis of a KPI's status and trend. Clicking on a KPI name allows a user to drill to the full detailed KPI report. Clicking on an alert will launch an Alert Details dialog window with associated corrective actions. Tooltips are used to clarify data in a cell or expand truncated column headers. A summary total of each of the three KPI status types is presented on the KPI Watchlist header. |
