Marc Heger currently holds the role of Senior Director – Hardware MENA for Oracle Systems Limited based in Dubai.

Marc Joined Oracle through the Sun Microsystems acquisition where Marc was Middle East and North Africa General Manager and Systems line of business Lead.

Since 2000 Marc had held various regional, top customer, channel and sales management roles for Sun Microsystems primarily covering the Middle East. In 2008 he was also responsible for the volume products segment for Southern and Eastern EMEA (Moscow to Cape Town).

Prior to joining Sun he worked for 5 years with what is today the Byte Technology Group in South Africa in a number of sales, pre sales and consulting roles focusing predominantly on Business Objects business intelligence and data warehousing solutions, eCommerce offerings and Texas Instruments application development environments.

His career started working for Gold Fields of South Africa where he fulfilled a variety of roles involved in application development and systems analysis. He actually held a bursary through Gold Fields for his studies at University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg where he completed two degrees, a bachelor of commerce majoring in IT, Economics and Accounting, and an honors degree in Business Information Systems.

A South African national Marc is married with two children. Marc lists desert off roading and water sports in his favorite outdoor activities.
