HP is a green company (and not just our booth!)
HP is committed to reducing its environmental impact across all aspects of business—from operations to products and services. Here are just a few ways HP is turning green:
- In 2007, HP reached our goal of recycling 1 billion pounds of computer hardware and print supplies.
- HP and Xtreme Energetics (XE), a solar energy system developer, are working together to develop a solar energy system designed to generate electricity at twice the efficiency and half the cost of traditional solar panels.
- HP initiated a LaserJet print-cartridge return and recycling program way back in 1991—this program is still going strong today.
- Even our booth is green—HP's new booth now weighs 10,000 pounds less—preventing an estimated 115 tons of carbon dioxide from being released annually into the air during shipment to and from our more than 200 large-scale domestic trade shows (Exhibitor Magazine, April 2008 www.exhibitoronline.com/exhibitormagazine/apr08/greenmachine.asp )
