Making the Most of Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK)

Bio: Barb Daggett is an Oracle University Senior Instructor with four years of experience with UPK and seven years of experience with Oracle PeopleSoft. Her expertise includes Human Resource, Benefits, Payroll, and Timekeeping systems. She has over fifteen years of training experience with a prior IT background.

Barbara has also served as a business analyst and consultant. Her industry experience has spanned several generations of computer hardware and software from mainframe to PCs. Her human resource systems work has included functional requirement definition, fit/gap analysis, data mapping, and testing and troubleshooting.

Course Description:
UPK is an Oracle tool used to produce documentation and training material. In this one-day course, you will learn how to build an outline that enables your user to navigation through their training material. You will learn how to prepare and record content in your target application and customize the recorded content that will be incorporated in the outline. You will learn how to develop glossary terms and roles to help document filtering. To further enhance your content you will discover how to import external files or (change to "and") creating web pages with text, graphic, and images that link to outlines and recorded content. Content is previewed by the authors of UPK and then published to make content available to the users through a player or printed documentation. The player has many playback modes that will be reviewed during this course and well as reviewing different types of printed documentation. Published output to meet you organization unique styles will be addressed in this course as well as the UPK infrastructure and content permission.

Oracle Business Intelligence 11g: Overview to Analyses and Dashboards

The aim of this one day seminar is to give the students an overview of the new version of Business Intelligence, version 11g. It will guide them through the basics of the new look and feel user interface. Then get them familiar with creating a basic Analysis and embedding it into a Dashboard. Bio: David is one of our more experienced instructors having worked in technical education since December 1999, and is now a member of the Oracle University instructor staff. He has over 26 years of software engineering experience to include software development, design and architecture, project management, and consulting. David earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Colorado Technical University in 1998, and is currently working on his M.S. in Computer Science at the University of South Florida.
