Ayan Mukerji is the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Wipro's Media and Telecom Strategic Business Unit. In his previous role, Ayan headed Wipro’s Product Engineering Solutions business unit. The unit included semiconductor and system solutions, mobile devices, consumer electronics, automotive electronics, aerospace & defense, industrial automation, medical devices, high performance & cloud computing, peripherals and technical publications.

Over his tenure of more than two decades at Wipro, Ayan has held a wide range of leadership positions across IT, Product Engineering and Systems Integration businesses. In his previous role, as the Chief Sales and Operations Officer for Europe until March 2010, he transformed Europe into one of Wipro's fastest growing regions. Under his leadership Europe grew significantly ahead of competition and established a stronghold in different markets. Ayan has been instrumental in driving growth and expanding Wipro’s customer base in France, Germany and the Nordics in particular. Wipro also grew its European development centre footprint by opening new offices in Rennes (France), Cologne (Germany), Oslo (Norway), Reading, and London (UK), during his two year stint.

Ayan's experience of working with CIOs and CTOs of Fortune 100 corporations over the last 10 years gives him a unique and in-depth understanding of their markets and businesses. He also plays a strategic role in advising large corporations that are expanding their India presence. He is currently based in California.

Mark Winther, Group Vice President and Consulting Partner, Worldwide Telecommunications, IDC Read Full Bio

Mark A. Winther is Group Vice President and Consulting Partner of Worldwide Telecommunications at IDC. In this role Mr. Winther leads a focused Global Telecom Consulting group that helps clients meet their planning, business, and market intelligence needs. His global consulting team leverages the knowledge assets of more than 150 communications analysts worldwide to effectively develop solutions and services that global clients require.

Prior to his leadership role in consulting Mr. Winther was responsible for the strategic direction and planning, as well as project management and profitability for the IDC global telecommunications syndicated services practice. This practice consisted of IDC research covering IP convergence, broadband, wireless, enhanced voice and data application services. Overseeing a global product line, Mr. Winther managed operations in US, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Mr. Winther is the founding producer of IDC Carriertrak, a continuously updated database of financial and operational statistics for over 550 fixed and mobile operators worldwide. Enabling operator performance cross comparisons by geography, market segment, and product offer, IDC Carriertrak is a one-stop-shop for understanding the $1.4 trillion telecommunications industry.

Mr. Winther is a frequent speaker at industry events worldwide and has presented at the following selected events: Capacity USA, Capacity Asia, NextGen Telecom Wholesale Asia, Mobile Internet Latin America Summit, Vortex, Chase Securities Telecom Tutorial Series, Telecom Business, IDC Telecom Transitions conferences in the US, Europe, and Asia; IDC European Telecom Forum, Italia TeleComNet, ComNet, the Columbia Institute for TeleInformation, and TeleStrategies Seminars. Mr. Winther has contributed articles to the Encyclopedia of Telecommunications, NetworkWorld, and Computerworld.

Mr. Winther joined the International Data Group family in 1984 when he joined LINK Resources Corp. LINK Resources was fully merged into IDC in 1993. Prior to joining IDG, Mr. Winther served as managing editor at QV Publishing Inc., a major publisher of newsletters and market research reports on the cable TV, pay-TV, and consumer online services markets.

Mr. Winther has BA from Swathmore and attended the Masters Program at the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania.

Bhaskar Gorti

Bhaskar Gorti is senior vice president and general manager of Oracle's Communications Global Business Unit, responsible for managing strategic planning, product development, sales, service and support for Oracle's Communications products.

Formerly CEO of Portal Software, Inc., Mr. Gorti led the company's global sales, services and support efforts, including the enhancement and expansion of Portal's relationships with global customers for more than four years. Previously, Mr. Gorti was SVP of marketing and alliances at Portal Software, where he successfully relaunched the company and established a number of strategic development and delivery partnerships.

Prior to that, Mr. Gorti served as vice president, global sales and alliances at OnDemand, acquired by Chordiant Software, where he successfully negotiated sales and alliance agreements with industry-leading companies. He has also held prominent positions at Hewlett Packard where he was director, worldwide business development, telecom and ISPs; and general manager, e-services (SMB) business unit. He has also worked for Aluminum Company of America, Sun Microsystems, and ARPANET Office of Naval Research.

Bill Zujewski has over 20 years of product strategy and global marketing experience in enterprise software and business applications. He has a proven track record of defining innovative products for emerging markets and bringing leading-edge and game-changing products to market.

Before joining Axeda, Bill was Vice President of Product Marketing at Art Technology Group (ATG), the leader in e-Commerce software, where he helped the company grow from $90M in annual revenue in 2006 to $210M in 2010. Before ATG, Bill led product management and product marketing at edocs, Inc., and Broadvision, Inc. While at Broadvision Bill also led professional services and oversaw dozens of highly visible and ground breaking projects from 1997-2000, including the launching of online shopping on HomeDepot.com, Walmart.com, and GESupply.com. Bill began his career in engineering and software development at Data General and Informix.

Bill holds B.S. Degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from The Carroll School of Management at Boston College.

Mike qualified as an Electronic Engineer with EMI Limited and first entered the Retail sector in 1982. During this time Mike has gained a wealth of experience in people management, program delivery and business leadership. With a particular strength in change management Mike has been a driving force behind the success of Wipro Retail and formerly, Enabler (acquired by Wipro in 2006) where he was UK CEO and a member of the Executive Board.

His depth of knowledge spans the working breadth of retail, understanding the importance of each facet of retail life through the spectrum of supply chain to point of sale, and how best to drive commercial value whilst reducing cost to the retailer. During his time in retail he has worked on both the buyer and supply side of the industry which gives him valuable insights into mutually beneficial relationships.

Now Vice President of Wipro Retail, Mike has led this division of Wipro Technologies to grow successfully over the past years. He is also part of the worldwide RCTG (Retail, Consumer Goods, Transportation and Government) vertical Leadership team and a member of the Wipro Technologies European leadership team.

N S Bala is the Senior Vice President and Global Head for the Manufacturing & High-Tech Industry Strategic Business Unit of Wipro Technologies. Bala manages the P&L for this division that contributes to over 19% of the global revenues of Wipro Technologies.

The 8000 people strong division focuses on enabling organizations in the Manufacturing industry transform their business in an ever changing economic environment by using IT as a lever to make them more agile and responsive across the entire value chain - areas such as customer management, manufacturing, supply chain, product engineering etc. Over the years, Bala has restructured the business unit to deepen its focus on specific sub-industry segments, building a strong customer advisory capability and offering integrated services across business process, applications and infrastructure. He has also been instrumental in driving innovation in delivery through models such as the Factory Model and Center for Integrated Global Management of Applications (Cigma).

During his stint at Wipro, Bala has been through the transformation experienced in the Indian IT industry and has also been a key contributor to Wipro’s journey in becoming one of the prominent players among the global service providers.

Bala has been instrumental in pioneering the use of Toyota Production Systems principles in application & software development that was developed into a case study by the Harvard Business School and is being taught at the institute to MBAs. He was invited by Harvard to speak on the case study. The delivery model has also been featured in the book, Bangalore Tiger by Steve Hamm. His recent innovation, Cigma, won Wipro the NASSCOM Innovation Award.
