UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR ADVANCE PILLAR AXIOM 600 TRAINING

As a member of the Sun Disk Storage Knowledge Zone, you are probably familiar with Oracle’s recent acquisition of Pillar Data Systems. The addition of the Pillar Axiom 600 to Oracle’s product line is expected to help Oracle deliver to customers a complete line of storage products that runs Oracle software faster and more efficiently than traditional storage products.

The Pillar Axiom 600 will be available on the Oracle pricelist and eligible for resale effective October 1, 2011. Once resale is available for the Axiom 600, the product will be added to the Strategic Product list for the OPN Incentive Program. In the meantime, you have several unique opportunities to get up-to-speed on the Pillar Axiom 600 product:

Attend a special session at Oracle OpenWorld dedicated to the Pillar product and how it fits into the Oracle’s storage product line-up. The session will be held on Monday, October 3 from 10 am to 12 noon. To view logistics and register go here. Space at this session is limited and will be granted on a first-come-first-served basis. You do not need to be registered for Oracle OpenWorld to attend this event.

Sales training and pre-sales training guided learning paths are coming soon. In the meantime, you can get started by taking modules that are the first step in both guided learning paths: an overview of the Axiom products, along with an Oracle storage product portfolio overview.

Understand what it takes to resell the Axiom 600 product:

Since you are an existing partner in the Sun Disk Storage Knowledge Zone, you can resell the Pillar Axiom 600 once it’s on the Oracle pricelist (October 1, 2011). Sales and pre-sales training are recommended, but not required.

Axiom Modern SAN Refresh. Displace aging SAN products - Sun 6xxxx, EMC Clariion, HDS 99xx, or HP EVA at end of lease/support - with Axiom.
Axiom in Oracle SAM Solution. Insert Axiom in every SAM opportunity as primary or secondary block I/O.
Axiom in the Cloud. Axiom for Private Cloud projects and Hosting & Managed Service Providers. Linear Scaling, Consolidation, Efficiency & High Utilization.

Once resale is available, you will also be able maximize sales returns by adding the Pillar Axiom 600 to deals that you register as part of the OPN Incentive Program. The program is designed to incent Oracle channel partners to work closely with Oracle in key areas of focus to align selling efforts.
