MySQL 5.6 Release Candidate
Kicking-off its inaugural MySQL Connect conference at Oracle OpenWorld 2012, Oracle announced the availability of the Release Candidate for MySQL 5.6, the world’s most popular open-source database.
With increased performance, scalability, reliability and manageability, the MySQL 5.6 Release Candidate (RC) helps users meet the most demanding Web, Cloud-based and embedded application requirements. New Commercial Extensions for MySQL Enterprise Edition
The new MySQL Enterprise Audit provides an “out of the box”, easy to use auditing and compliance solution helping customers conform to industry best practices and satisfy regulatory requirements.
MySQL Enterprise Edition now includes two new high availability options: Distributed Replicated Block Device (DRBD) for Oracle Linux and Oracle Solaris Cluster integration.
The new commercial extensions are available as part of the MySQL Enterprise Edition and MySQL Cluster Carrier Grade Edition (CGE), at no additional cost.

First Development Milestone Release of MySQL Cluster 7.3
The MySQL Cluster 7.3 introduces native support for Foreign Keys, and delivers increased flexibility and simplicity.
Oracle is also delivering early access to features under development including a new Node.js NoSQL API and a new MySQL Cluster Auto-Installer. These are available to the MySQL community for testing and feedback through http://labs.mysql.com.
MySQL Cluster is an open source, write-scalable, real-time, ACID-compliant transactional database for new generation web, cloud, social and mobile applications.
