HELP YOUR RESELLERS ACCELERATE THEIR ENGINEERED SYSTEMS MOMENTUM WITH AN EXALOGIC SPECIALIZATION

Engineered systems are a table stake within Oracle’s go-forward product strategy and a common topic on Oracle’s earnings calls. In fact, in our most recent Q3 earnings call, Mark Hurd stated that “Hardware revenue for our engineered systems grew 139% this quarter and going into Q4, we have a record pipeline.”

Exalogic is a secret weapon in driving optimized performance – especially in conjunction with Exadata for a double-X factor – around all of Oracle’s Applications and migration to Fusion Applications. Please consider asking your resellers to think about expanding their engineered systems capabilities by adding an Exalogic specialization to their capabilities.

Exalogic has ramped up faster than Exadata and has great market acceptance:

    • Exalogic outsold Exadata 2:1 in each one’s debut period.
    • Customers have been very vocal in letting us know about their Exalogic successes.
    • Exalogic is a services driver with opportunity stemming from both the sale of the Exalogic system itself and with associated services such as backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, application consolidation, and more.
    • The launch of Oracle Fusion Applications is just around the corner and they will run well on Exalogic, so partners who achieve Exalogic specialization now will be ahead of the curve.

Keep in mind that starting June 1, 2012, all partners will need resell rights and must be specialized in the relevant Engineered System in order to sell that system. This OPN policy applies to any Engineered System where there is published resale criteria and specializations on OPN.
