Oracle recently announced the launch of Oracle SOA Suite for Healthcare Integration. The new launch will help to reduce costs and speed time-to-market for healthcare customers.

The SOA team created a new Official Oracle SOA Suite 11g Samples project in java.net for the product samples, referenced in the Oracle SOA Suite documentation.You do not require to have membership to browse and download the samples. You can go there directly and get start by clicking on the component you are interested in.

We have samples for Adapters, B2B, BAM, BPEL PM, BPM, Business Rules, CEP, Human Workflow, Mediator, Notification, Oracle Service Bus, Spring and Transformations.

For more samples, please make sure to check out the SOA community project. It will allow you to upload your own samples there.

First of all thank you very much to all who have already accepted and started working on some papers!

For the others who have expressed interest in writing about Oracle SOA Suite at some point of time in the past.

Here is a list of possible SOA whitepapers that I am very interested in seeing published (note that the list is not exhaustive and I welcome any other topic you would like to volunteer).

The format for these whitepapers would ideally be a 5 to 12 pages document, possibly with a companion sample (to be hosted on http://java.net/projects/oraclesoasuite11g ). It is not a marketing stuff. We will get them published on OTN, with proper credits and use social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) to promote them. For information, the "quickstart guide" was downloaded more than 11,000 titles over just 2 months, following a similar approach. These papers are a great way to get exposure and build your resume.

We would prefer if we could get 2 people to collaborate on these papers (ideally 1 partner or customer and 1 oracle person). This guarantees some level of peer review and gives greater legitimacy to the paper. If you are Interested? Please contact demed.lher@oracle.com. Thank you!

With this online, hands-on workshop you will be on the path to Oracle SOA Suite knowledge and expertise. Through these developer-focused product presentations and demonstrations, there is no way to jumpstart your learning faster or more efficient than this. You’ll learn how a SOA approach can be implemented, whether starting a fresh with new services or reusing existing services.

Getting started with BPM can be a major challenge. The breadth of an enterprise BPM maturity assessment, the scope of engineering and governance frameworks, and the complexity of maintaining a full lifecycle of continuous process improvement with a constant exchange of information between the business and IT makes it important to have a well thoughtful starting point. There are many ways to approach this problem with dependencies on a variety of factors, such as past and present experiences with BPM, urgency, budget, tolerance for change, etc. Oracle’s First 100 Days of BPM is a such approach that is intended to address some common themes seen in initial BPM projects, such as the following:

• The project needs to show rapid results
• There is general broad agreement on automation candidate processes and requirements
• The project must fit within existing project management methodology

Oracle’s First 100 Days of BPM describes an approach to meet the needs of these and other similar scenarios thus provides a framework plan for a rapid initial automation project, and to outline a systematic expansion of BPM to exploit the full benefits through a longer-term rollout.

The First 100 Days project is intended to be a rapid proof-of-concept for BPM as such, it limits the scope of all BPM engineering lifecycle tasks to the minimum necessary to achieve demonstrable value without introducing risk or compromising best practices. Strategic analysis itself is limited to short tactical executive workshops, deferring the more strategic deeper business analysis, collaboration, organizational changes, etc.

This First 100 Days project plan is a lightweight, pragmatic instantiation of the Oracle Business Process Engineering method. The following diagram illustrates the major activities (and associated process states) in the iterative lifecycle of the method which will be applied in the First 100 Days project.

With this release all widely adopted pre-built integration accelerators are now available on Fusion Middleware 11g to our customers. The AIA 11.1 Release requires the latest and greatest Fusion Middleware 11g release Patch Set 4 (11.1.1.5.0), including Foundation Pack 11g (11.1.1.5.0).
