OPN Partners are rapidly taking advantage of the Application Integration Architecture for Partners Initiative, which provides validation testing for the integration of partner products with the Oracle's E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft Enterprise, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, JD Edwards World, Siebel and any Oracle application.
Why Validate?
Integration validation provides customers with the confidence that the integration between products has been tested and validated as functionally and technically sound, that the product is integrated with Oracle Applications in a reliable, standards-based way, and that the integration operates and performs as documented. The validation may include product installation verification, demonstration of business processes, data exchange testing, platform testing (when applicable), documentation review, and globalization validation (when applicable).

- Partners with validated integrations are able to provide customers with standards-based product integrations, reviewed, tested and validated by Oracle.
- Customers benefit from improved risk management and smoother upgrade capability, leading to a lower total cost of ownership and greater overall satisfaction.

Integration Validation ensures standards compliance:
All validated integrations comply with standard integration technologies, such as Oracle Fusion Middleware, BPEL, Web Services, XML/EDI, integration adaptors, published and approved application program interfaces (APIs), and approved operating system interfaces.

- Inclusion in global or regional marketing (at Oracle's discretion)
Additionally, by having a validated integration your company may qualify to upgrade to (or maintain) Certified Partner status in the Oracle PartnerNetwork. Learn More.
Validation Testing Eligibility Criteria
- Current Oracle PartnerNetwork membership
- Membership in Application Integration Architecture for Partners Initiative
- Membership in relevant Applications Product Focus Area
- OPN approved access to software within the relevant Product Focus Area (see minimum training requirements for approved software access)
- Membership in Multi-Vendor Support Program (MVSP) is REQUIRED for partner solutions integrating via operating system interfaces (such as IP networking stack, user interface libraries, browser plug-ins, etc.), MVSP membership is strongly recommended for any partner solutions integrating via standard Oracle APIs. There is no cost to join MVSP.
- Integration development complete and solution generally available
- Solution must be complementary to Oracle's Applications products
- Application for validation testing reviewed and accepted by Oracle PartnerNetwork, with executive sponsorship if needed
- Acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Oracle Application Integration Architecture for Partners Initiative Addendum to the Oracle PartnerNetwork Agreement

The following platform partner product technologies are NOT eligible for integration validation testing:
- Operating System (OS) Certification
- Vendor Clusterware Validation
- Third party Cluster File System (CFS) Validation
- Virtualization Technology Validation
- Interconnect Protocol Validation
- Web Browser Certification
Validation Test Fees
Please note that validation testing requires pre-payment of a testing fee. Once your application has been accepted, you will be provided with instructions for submitting the testing fee.
Integration Validation Testing Criteria
Validation includes a range of technical and process-oriented testing:
- Integrated Functionality: The integrated partner and Oracle products pass all pre-defined test cases and scenarios, and the products work together as specified without compromising functionality available from either product operating separately.
- Data Integrity: The integrated solution must not compromise data integrity.
- Security: The integrated solution must not compromise data or application security or access control restrictions that are enforced by either product.
- Documentation: Documentation must be published which includes installation guide, user guide, and the technical integration document.
