What will we cover

The goal of this boot camp is to educate and make Oracle Partners aware of Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1 Financial Management Systems (FMS) through this Essentials training program. By attending this 15-day boot camp, you will gain valuable insight into the Oracle Financials basics, features and functions.

This implementation boot camp is structured to help you understand the various implementation considerations of Oracle Financials and acquire knowledge in the following main areas:

  • General Ledger
  • Sub-ledger Accounting (SLA)
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Payments
  • Accounts Payable
  • E-Business Tax (EBTax)
  • and more

The boot camp will be a combination of lecture, hands-on exercises and case study structured around financial business processes, which ultimately lead an organization towards making more informed decisions, improve operations, and reduce costs.

Who should attend

The intended audience for this boot camp is new Oracle E-Business Suite functional implementation consultants and possibly presales consultants, who have not had any experience with Oracle E-Business Suite in the past. The current skill set for the expected attendees for this class will be implementation consultants focused on business process and application configuration. This class will not cover programming or the writing of programs, building integrations or extensions of the Oracle E-Business Suite, or customizations using the EBS Discoverer.

Prerequisites

Participation in this boot camp requires the participant has solid foundational product knowledge, especially the new functional capabilities in the Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1 FMS. To achieve this we are requiring all participants:

With this approach, we can determine a partner’s knowledge level and ensure participants have baseline knowledge prior to attending class. This gives Oracle the ability to validate a Partners product knowledge, whether via project experience or via education, through the use of the assessment test.

2. Track specific pre-requisites must be completed a week prior to scheduled training.
