Reporting Royalties
The terms of Oracle Application Specific Full Use (ASFU) and Embedded Software License (ESL) agreements outline that for each agreement, and for each of the associated ISV applications, a monthly report must be submitted to Oracle detailing distribution activity.

Reports are due by the 20th of each month for all licenses distributed in the previous month. If no licenses are sold, partners are still required to submit a $0 report.

ASFU & ESL Reports
Partners and Value Added Distributors (VADs) ordering directly from Oracle may report ASFU and ESL licenses online via Oracle Partner Store (OPS) or offline using Offline Reporting Procedures.

Buyout and Prepaid Royalty models are part of the Oracle Embedded Software License (ESL) model for ISVs and device manufacturers who use Oracle technology in their own product offering.

Buyout: One-time license fee to distribute Embedded Software Licenses of Oracle programs for a defined period (submitted quarterly).

Prepaid Royalty: Pay an amount of sublicense fees upfront in exchange for a reduced royalty rate per sublicense reported (submitted monthly).

Support Renewals
For distribution agreements executed prior to June 30, 2004, report support on ASFU and ESL licenses net 30 days from December 31st for those end users you provided support to in the previous year.

If you executed a distribution agreement after June 30, 2004, Oracle will provide an annual support license renewal letter for each month that you distributed licenses in the previous year.
