Go-to-Market Initiative: Sensor-Based Services
|
Oracle Sensor-Based Services is the umbrella term for capturing information from the physical world via a myriad of sensor types including RFID (radio frequency Identification), temperature, moisture, motion, location, barcode and any of the other new technology sensor types. Based on Oracle's mature, proven technology - including Oracle Database, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Oracle E-Business Suite - Oracle Sensor-Based Services assists companies to interact with these sensors and turn the data that is collected into real information and intelligence that can be used to optimize business processes and gain a sustained competitive advantage. Incorporating these technologies into their information infrastructure and integrating them into business processes provides customers substantial business benefits. Customers will be able to more accurately track assets, monitor key performance indicators and automate business processes, giving them greater visibility into their operations and allowing them to make better decisions based on real-time information.
To successfully meet the growing demands of these customers, Oracle is building an ecoysystem of partners to deliver end-to-end solutions for RFID and sensor-based services through the Oracle Sensor-Based Services Initiative. |
