Consit's InvoiceIT certified with Oracle E‑Business Suite
Copenhagen-based software vendor Consit has become one the latest Oracle ISV partner to have its software solution certified as integrated with Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle's suite of enterprise applications for commercial and public sector organisations.
As an Oracle Certified Advantage Partner of long standing, Consit has always developed its software for the Oracle technology platform. Now, the firm is discovering the added commercial advantages of joining Oracle's E-Business Suite Integration initiative for third-party ISVs.
Consit's InvoiceIT software is a solution for intelligent scanning and handling of supplier invoices , greatly reducing the cost and approval, matching and payment cycles for customers of both products. For one joint customer, Danish Broadcasting, use of InvoiceIT with Oracle Financials has reduced the payment approval cycle from more than 30 days to less than four and a half.
"We saw there was an opportunity to extend the functionality of Oracle E-Business Suite with our own product," says Consit managing director Morten Godsk. "We already resell and implement Oracle E-Business Suite through our consultancy division, but we wanted to provide our customers with the highest level of reassurance that the two companies' products work seamlessly together. This is why we chose to integrate deeply with Oracle E-Business Suite and have the integration certified through the Oracle E-Business Suite Integration Initiative."
Consit worked with Oracle's integration team in Bangalore, India, to perform the necessary technical changes to effect a seamless integration between the two vendors' products. "It was a pleasure to work with the integration team, we always got a lot of attention and the dialogue was always positive and constructive," says Godsk. "We've also been able to improve our product using the recommendations from the EBSi team."
Godsk believes that the seamless integration between the two companies' products will set Consit in good stead for future sales of InvoiceIT. "We can now state that our solution is 100% compatible with Oracle," he says. "Oracle is putting a lot of sales and marketing effort into the area of strategic procurement, and will be promoting InvoiceIT as part of that effort. The level of integration means customers will not have to worry about anything - the software works automatically with Oracle."
Consit recommends that other ISVs investigate the E-Business Suite Integration initiative. "We would recommend that any partner that is serious about providing their customers with a complementary solution to Oracle E-Business Suite looks into the integration initiative," says Godsk. "It's the best assurance that you can give to customers that your solution will work seamlessly with Oracle's."
