Oracle Signs New ISV Program Director

This July Oracle welcomed Hartmuth Horny as the new director of the EMEA ISV program. Hartmuth brings a great deal of software industry experience to the role, coming from BEA Systems where he was the partner marketing director in EMEA, holding responsibility for joint marketing plans with strategic partners and running the partner program for EMEA. Previously, Hartmuth spent over ten years working at Lotus and IBM, and as director of business partner sales in EMEA he played a key role in merging the two companies' partner programs and alliance teams.

He will be responsible for increasing Oracle's ISV community in the EMEA region and helping the company's existing partners to better understand the full range of Oracle solutions. Hartmuth said: "What I want to do is design programs that allow ISVs to better understand what Oracle can offer them and help them market their own applications based on Oracle technology. Together with the ISVs we are delivering customized solutions for our customer's requirements."

The move signals an ongoing commitment from Oracle to building stronger, mutually beneficial relationships with its ISV partners. Bertram Mandel, senior director of alliances and channels for Oracle EMEA said "I am pleased to welcome Hartmuth to Oracle. His wealth of experience in the software industry will help us to forge increasingly fruitful working relationships with our ISV partners."
