2. What is the value of ISV Solution Maps for Oracle Applications to:
Customers?
Customers can clearly see how Oracle enables them to leverage their investments in third-party software products. Oracle ISVs partners provide customers with options for extending and enhancing the value of their Oracle investments by delivering integrated solutions that complement Oracle Applications.
The Solution Maps are linked to the Oracle PartnerNetwork Solutions Catalog. As available, users will be able to drill down into an ISV Solution Map, and click on a partner name to link directly to their profile in the Solutions Catalog. The Solutions Catalog profile provides a full company and solution description, as well as the ability to directly contact the partner.
Partners? The ISV Solution Maps help our partners to align more closely with Oracle Applications and identify opportunities for developing and validating integration with Oracle Applications.
Partners represented in the Solution Maps benefit from increased visibility with Oracle customers, prospects and our sales force. The Maps are also a tool for ISVs to better understand and communicate to customers where and how their solutions add value to Oracle Applications.

Additionally, Oracle will regularly assess the participating ISV partners, and the extent to which these partners are continuing to invest in Oracle Applications and Technology.
6. What framework is Oracle utilizing to organize and present the ISV Solution Maps?
As available,
Oracle will use the Business Process Management (BPM) model to organize and present the content that comprises each ISV Solution Map. BPM refers to a set of activities that organizations can perform, to either optimize their business processes, or adapt them to new organizational needs. Here is an example of the BPM hierarchy for Human Capital Management:
BPM Hierarchy :
Level 0: Industry or Application Product/Solution
Level 1: Business Process
Level 2: Detailed Business Process
Level 3: Activity

With this focus on enterprise business processes, the BPM is relevant to our customers and partners. Additionally, it is used extensively within Oracle as an important tool to scope, communicate, and prioritize features and functionality throughout the entire development lifecycle.
Leveraging the BPM will ensure that ISV Solution Maps are consistently represented and updated for targeted industries and application products.
7. How are partners selected for inclusion in the ISV Solution Maps?
ISV partners are considered for inclusion based on input from various organizations within Oracle, including Product Strategy, Product Development, the Industries Business Unit, and Sales. Selection criteria include complementary product functionality, product integration, market share, joint customer base, as well as the partner's investment and involvement in Oracle partner programs and activities.
Oracle will periodically review and, as appropriate, revise the content of the Solution Maps based on these same criteria.
8. Are there any additional fees or contractual commitments required
from partners to participate?
There are no additional fees or contractual commitments
to participate in the ISV Solutions Maps
