Oracle Support and On Demand Capabilities
Presentation Highlights by Juergen Rottler

Juergen Rottler is Executive Vice President of Oracle Support and On Demand., reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Lawrence J. Ellison and responsible for the Oracle On Demand business unit. As part of the January 18, 2005 Oracle/PeopleSoft launch event, Rottler explained the goals of his organization and the structure of the Oracle and PeopleSoft support organizations.

Supporting Your Investment
"Our view of support isn't just responding to problems. Our view of support isn't just responding to calls or making knowledge basis available. Our view of support is that we're trying to help you maximize the return on your investment and protect your investment in software."

Scale Matters
"If you look at the number of transactions that we'll be processing and obviously the number of customer interactions that we'll be having, we have by far the largest support organization in our industry. And scale matters. In the support business, scale is critical."

A Common Goal
"More than 75% of PeopleSoft customers actually use Oracle Technology very extensively in many cases. Also, a fairly significant portion of J.D. Edwards customers utilize Oracle technology. So this is a great opportunity to integrate those support capabilities."

Simplifying Support
"We're already working very closely together to bring interoperability to support: a single cals for customers, and one single support agent owner. So if you're a PeopleSoft customer, and you have an issue that translates to an Oracle database issue, you will not have to deal with multiple support organizations."
