An Oracle PartnerNetwork Application Developer Initiative
Overview
Working in conjunction with the Oracle Service Delivery Platform team, British Telecom (BT) and its Innovation Platform
are bringing Internet and software standards to telecommunications application development. The BT Innovation Platform
is designed as the service creation and execution environment for the BT 21st Century Network (21CN), the all-IP core
network for real-time communication services.
The BT Innovation Platform will enable the rapid creation of a new generation of services that can blend real-time
communications with rapidly emerging Web 2.0 techniques using Internet standards. It uses the
Oracle Service Delivery Platform—an
extension of Oracle Fusion Middleware—as a key enabling technology
and a means for reaching out to Oracle's global developer community.

This Innovation Platform will leverage Java Enterprise Edition and Internet standards for telecommunications service
development in a converged Java container so developers can easily blend voice, messaging, video, and other features into
applications. The BT Communication Experience Design Notation will also be featured.
