In the fall of 2001, Cerner’s chief operating officer aimed to achieve “the perfect experience” for its clients. This meant having a single view of the customer and having a better understanding of the company’s account receivables and pipeline. Cerner selected Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition to provide actionable intelligence for finance, sales, service and HR associates across the enterprise. The company has over 7,000 users and the applications include Cash Management Analytics, Sales Analytics, Service Analytics, Time Analytics, Expense Analytics, Learning Analytics, Client and Usage Analytics. The data sources for these applications include PeopleSoft, Geac, Microsoft Project Server, a homegrown learning management system, and Siebel. The solutions are enabling Cerner’s global workforce to have the right information to do their jobs effectively.
