| Forum Description |
| |
In 2004, Belgacom used Oracle BPEL Process Manager to develop a common approach for automating and reusing its complex business processes. Whether for provisioning or customer support, DSL or Sonet/SDH activation, Belgacom can quickly and easily develop a Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) process to automate and integrate business processes and systems.
For example, Oracle BPEL Process Manager is able to accept batch files from the order management system (via FTP) and real-time requests from customer service applications (via Web services). Furthermore, by using Oracle BPEL Process Manager’s in-flight process monitoring console, Belgacom is able to track its processes in real-time providing better customer support, shortening activations/deactivation times and reducing operating expenses. Oracle BPEL Process Manager powers 15,000 transactions per day and over 150 BPEL processes. |
