Java Technical Speakers

Danny has been a contributor to the Java EE, Java SE and Java ME platforms and most recently was Chief Architect of Client Software for Sun before the acquisition, which included overall architectural responsibility for the Java SE, Java ME, JavaFX technologies. He is now a Java Evangelist for Oracle.

Simon Ritter specializes in looking at emerging technologies including grid computing, RFID, wireless sensor networks, robotics and wearable computing. Simon has been in the IT business since 1984 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Brunel University in the U.K.Originally working in the area of UNIX development for AT&T UNIX System Labs and then Novell, Simon joined Sun in 1996 and started working with Java technology; he has spent time doing both Java development and consultancy.

Ludovic Champenois is one of the architects of the GlassFish Java EE 6 Application Server, a modular, elegant application server, based on OSGi and exposing the latest technologies of the Enterprise Platform: JPA2, JSF 2, CDI, Beans Validations, Servlet 3.0 etc. His main focus is around providing Tools for the EE platform (both NetBEans and Eclipse advanced plugins) as well as the REST Admin back-end of GlassFish which exposes all the administration capabilities of the server via a comprehensive JAX-RS REST style URLs allowing clients like the Admin console or other clients (JavaScript, JavaFX, PHP) to easily access to the admin back-end.

Alexis Moussine-Pouchkine is a member of the GlassFish team and has been acting as the project ambassador for the past few years. He is a regular speaker at developer and JUG conferences such as Devoxx, Jazoon, JavaZone, JFokus or JavaOne. His most recent focus has naturally been around Java EE 6. Alexis also spends quality time with customers, developers, and architects to better drive the evolution of GlassFish and related technologies. He participates in various open source communities, translates Java books into French, but also has a life outside of Java!

He is responsible for community development related to Java ME technologies. He is part of theEvangelism team in the Java Platform Group, was a member of Sun's Open Source Group, the Java.Net Management Board, and serves as a Track Lead for the JavaOne Program Committee.
