Oracle Fusion Middleware Sets Record for Single Node Performance

Oracle Application Server with Oracle Database 11g on HP Demonstrate Superior Performance and Scalability
Oracle today announced that Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3, a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, together with Oracle Database 11g running on an HP ProLiant Server Blade, set the world record single node result with the Java Application Server Performance Benchmark. i This achievement continues to build on Oracle's commitment of delivering the highest performing and most scalable Java Application Server to its customers.

"This winning track record is further proof that Oracle Application Server clearly sets the standard for performance and scalability in the industry and with its superior features, delivers a comprehensive, affordable, and manageable application deployment, business integration, and portal environment."

Over the past five years, Oracle has submitted record-setting application server benchmarks on a broad range of hardware and software platforms.

BENCHMARK DETAILS

Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3, together with Oracle Database 11g, achieved 2,056.27 SPECJAppServer2004 JOPS@Standard (jAppServer Operations Per Second). The Java Application Server was running on an HP ProLiant BL460c server blade, equipped with two Quad-Core Intel Xeon X5460 3.16 GHz processors and an HP StorageWorks MSA1000. The database server was running on an HP ProLiant BL480c server blade, equipped with two Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5440 2.83 GHz processors.
