Oracle Fusion Middleware Delivers Another World Record Benchmark Result

In a show of Oracle Fusion Middleware's superior performance and scalability, Oracle WebLogic Server — together with Oracle JRockit, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and Oracle Database 11g — running on a Dell PowerEdge server, set a world record two-socket, single-node result with the SPECjAppServer2004 industry standard benchmark.

The benchmark result, which demonstrated Oracle WebLogic Server's advanced application grid capabilities, delivered the highest performance per core of any result ever published.

"Achieving the highest score ever on a two-socket, single node benchmark reaffirms that Oracle WebLogic Server is the industry's leading platform for building and running enterprise applications and services," said Juan Loaiza, senior vice president, Systems Technology, Oracle. "This result, combined with other recent SPECj world-record scores, demonstrates that Oracle WebLogic Server is a superior performing application server, regardless of hardware or operating system."
