Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Sets World Record 1TB TPC-H Benchmark Result

Running on a 64-node HP ProLiant BL460 Server each with two quad-core Intel Xeon 5450 3.0 GHz processors, Database 11g Release 2 with Oracle Real Application Clusters on Linux achieved a world record performance of over 1.1 million QphH@1000GB with a price of $5.42/QphH@1000GB. This record-breaking benchmark result, represents the fastest TPC-H One Terabyte performance result-to-date and illustrates new innovative capabilities such as in-memory query processing.

TPC-H is a decision support benchmark consisting of a suite of business-oriented ad-hoc queries and concurrent data modifications. The performance metric is called the TPC-H Composite Query-per-Hour Performance Metric (QphH@size) and reflects multiple aspects of the system's capabilities to process queries.
