Spain: IT statistics - Observatorio Nacional de las Telecomnicationes y de la SI (ONTSI) This site is operated by an agency of the Ministry of Industry in Spain. It holds statistical information about the penetration of information technologies in public and private sectors - things like broadband access, etc between 2001 and 2008. Statistics are available at a global scale (OECD countries), for the EU countries and at the level of Spanish regions (Autonomias)

To access the The BI dashboard use the username/password "Internet/Internet".

The three tabs with maps are in the middle of the row of tabs at the top of the dashboard page:

"Indicadores UE" = EU countries
"Indicadores CCAA" = Spanish regions
"Indicadores OCDE" = Global (OECD countries)

The maps are at the bottom of the page. You can change the type of indicator plotted on the map by changing the prompts above the map, then clicking on "Ir" (= "Go"). Not all indicators are available for all maps and all years. If you switch to another year, you will see more (or less) indicators becoming available. Also some indicators may only be available for some countries.

Belgium: Employment statistics - interactieve Vlaamse arbeidsrekening (iVAR)

Access

The prompts at the top allow you to choose the geographical area to examine:

"Gewest" = Region (as Flanders, Wallonia or Brussels)
"Provincie" = Province
others ("Streek", "Arrondissement" and finally "Gemeente" = "Municipality") drill down deeper.

You can also choose the year ("Jaar") and the indicator to plot ("Kies Indicator"). Some indicators (like the default "Werkloosheidsgrraad" = degree of joblessness) use colors (red to green), some use gray scales. Do not forget to click on the "Ga" button (="Go") to see the results.
