Secure, reliable, scalable multimedia data management.

Oracle Multimedia integrates multimedia data with enterprise information stored in Oracle Database. Multimedia data can be stored, managed and retrieved with SQL, PL/SQL and Java in the same way as standard relational data. This enables rapid development and maintenance of multimedia applications using existing skills. With high performance storage and retrieval, built-in multimedia functionality, security, and high availability, Oracle Multimedia supports combined relational and multimedia datasets used in image archives, medical image applications and other media-related applications. Oracle Multimedia supports a wide variety of data formats including comprehensive support for medical images (DICOM).
