Circle K Sunkus built 30TB data warehouse with Oracle Business
Intelligence technologies, goes live today

Oracle's technologies and Fujitsu PRIMEQUEST mission-critical IA Server
running on Intel Itanium 2 Processor renovate the system for product

Oracle Corporation Japan today announced that Circle K Sunkus has
utilized Oracle Business Intelligence technologies to renovate the
system for product management and sales analysis. The system becomes
operational today.

In order to stay competitive in the highly competitive convenience store
business, it is essential to gather and analyze data from stores across
Japan and to produce the information that supports quick decision
making. Circle K Sunkus has centralized previously scattered product
management and sales analysis system in short term with low cost,
promoting practical use of information resource and standardizing work
process.

The system is composed of Oracle Database 10g and Oracle OLAP as
database software, Fujitsu PRIMEQUEST mission-critical IA Server running
on Intel Itanium 2 Processor as hardware platform. The system realizes
gigantic data warehouse with initial size 30TB, enables centralized
administration, and provides high performance and capability of
analysis. In addition, it utilizes Oracle Business Intelligence Suite as
analytical application, enables real-time, wide-range analysis to
support flexible and efficient decision making.
