Fidelity National Financial, Inc. (FNF), number 248 on the Fortune 500, is a leading provider of outsourced products and services, including technology solutions, title and escrow services, personal insurance, claims management services and more.   FNF has standardized on Oracle RAC, Automatic Storage Management, Data Guard, Recovery Manager (RMAN), and Flashback technologies  for their Mission-Critical applications - implemented according to the Oracle Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) best practices blue print for deploying highly available systems.

The application described in this case study was migrated to Oracle Database 10g Release 2.  The application is the eDoc System used to house mortgage title metadata and over 50 million PDF/XML Title Repository documents within the Oracle Database.  This very detailed case study has been authored by Charles Kim of Fidelity National Financial, and reflects the best practices and learning gained during implementation by the team at Fidelity.  All observations and recommendations made in the case study are those of the author and the team at Fidelity.
