The Oracle Data Miner graphical user interface is documented in the online help for Oracle SQL Developer Release 3.0.

  • Oracle Data Mining Concepts provides an overview of the functionality available in Oracle Data Mining
  • Oracle Data Mining Administrator's Guide provides installation and upgrade instructions, and explains how to create users and perform other administrative tasks, and also describes sample programs, including how to install and run them
  • Oracle Data Mining Application Developer’s Guide provides an introduction to the Data Mining PL/SQL and Java APIs, explains how to organize data for mining, and how to create, score, and deploy data mining models
  • Oracle Data Mining Java API Reference provides the reference documentation (javadoc) for the Data Mining Java API

The Data Mining PL/SQL API is documented in the PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference on the Application Development page of the Oracle Database online documentation library. The Data Mining chapters are:

  • DBMS_DATA_MINING — PL/SQL package for creating data mining models
  • DBMS_DATA_MINING_TRANSFORM — PL/SQL package for transforming data prior to mining
  • DBMS_PREDICTIVE_ANALYTICS — PL/SQL package for high-level data mining routines (predict, explain, and profile)

The Data Mining SQL scoring functions are documented in SQL Language Reference on the Application Development page. Links to the Data Mining Functions are in Chapter 5. The functions are:
