  • Using MapViewer Heatmap in OBIEE—The visualization of location or geographic contexts within OBIEE has been a well documented feature since version 11g, however there are new visualization libraries from Oracle and third parties that can be added to your OBIEE layouts. This presentation will demonstrate how an OBIEE dashboard can implement Heatmaps and other analytical mapping features from the Oracle Mapviewer HTML5 API. [BIV-1055] (PDF 1.9MB)
  • Using Maps and Geo Spatial Analytics in Oracle Business Intelligence 11g—Maps communicate data faster and more intuitively than any other data visualization method. Map views are built-in in OBI 11g, but aren’t often used because some additional configuration work is needed. You’ll see how to leverage OBI’s native map views in BI dashboards, add geo spatial calculations to OBI analyses and queries, and determine which analytical layers to add to your map presentations. The experts at Vlamis have been working with Nokia and Oracle for the past four years to acquire the tips, insights, best practices you need. [BIV-1044] (PDF 2.1MB)
  • Multidimensional Analytic Models for Demand-Based Parking in San Francisco—The SFMTA developed SFpark to test new technologies and policies to better manage parking in San Francisco. The SFpark BI team has implemented a variety of BI, Spatial, and Data Integration tools to implement demand-responsive pricing for parking within seven pilot neighborhoods in the City. SFpark staff will discuss the unique analytical model for managing on-street and garage parking, how parking data is gathered in near real time, and then integrated into an Enterprise Data Warehouse. Additionally the presentation will focus on how OBIEE is used to analyze and visualize parking data in both Spatial and Temporal contexts, and how SFpark staff use the tool to operate the program. • Using Oracle’s BI Tools for Location-Aware Predictive Analytics—Predictive analytics helps organizations gain better insights into customer value and behavior. Using these technologies, you can make better decisions at the right time to improve customer satisfaction and retention, and reduce churn. Oracle will demonstrate new, powerful capabilities for organizations to easily deploy location-aware predictive analytics in an integrated BI environment. Mapping and location offer dense visualization, familiar context, and powerful associations to analytic applications. For many developers, adding such capabilities can be challenging. Oracle Business Intelligence Suite streamlines and removes the complexity -- with built-in features for location analysis and rich, interactive map visualization on current business data out-of-the box. Oracle experts will show how predictive analytics, network analytics and spatial analysis have been brought together in real-world scenarios, such as evaluating airline on-time performance and retail establishment performance. Rich spatial analytics capabilities in Oracle Spatial and Graph option and Oracle Database 12c will be highlighted. [BIV-1058] (PDF 1.3MB)
