Enterprise User Security |
Enterprise User Security, an Oracle Database Enterprise Edition feature, combined with Oracle Identity Management, gives you the ability to centrally manage database users and their authorizations in one central place. The cost of user provisioning and password resets is dramatically reduced. This technology is a must for new application development and should be considered for existing applications as well.
Oracle Directory Synchronization Service, part of Oracle Internet Directory, permits synchronization between Oracle Internet Directory and third party directories, or user repositories such as Microsoft Active Directory, Oracle Directory Server EE (formerly known as Sun Java Enterprise Directory) and others.
Enterprise User Security increases security in many ways:
| Centralized provisioning and deprovisioning of database users. | |
| Centralized password management and self-service password reset capability. | |
| Centralized management of authorizations using global database roles. | |
| Oracle Directory Synchronization Service, part of Oracle Internet Directory, permits synchronization between Oracle Internet Directory and other directories and user repositories such as Microsoft Active Directory and SunONE. |
