Form level properties, Alert Properties, Attached Library properties and every object down to and including Window properties is examined. All differences between Forms are displayed. Changes in PL/SQL code lines are clearly marked as either added, changed, deleted or moved.

FormDiff features editable profiles that allow developers to ignore objects they are not concerned with. Preferences allow developers to control how the FormDiff output is saved: Text, HTML or XML. Users can print the entire difference output or selected navigator nodes.

Automate Changes to Forms with Formalin

Product Description: As a developer or administrator of Forms applications you are often faced with the task of making the same changes in a lot of forms. This is not only a teadious job, but there is also a great risk that some forms are missed or that changes are not made in the same way in all forms. Formalin is a tool to automate this type of work.

Formalin is mainly used to make the same type of changes in a large number of forms, e.g. when upgrading to a new version of Oracle Forms or when a new common standard for Forms applications is introduced. Formalin can also be used to find the forms that meet certain criteria. This can for example be used to produce a report of which forms will be affected by a specific change. Furthermore Formalin can also be used to test if a form complies with the coding conventions and standards that apply in a project. E.g. that all forms should have a When-New-Form-Instance trigger or that all visible items should have a visual attribute.
