When you complete the steps for creating a WSDL document, the WSDL visual editor should look similar to this, if all panes are expanded:

In the Application Navigator, you should see the WSDL document you created in the wsdl folder under Web Content.

Upon validating the WSDL document, you should see the message Validate WSDL : 0 errors in the Messages Log window:
