The Property Inspector and Shared Properties

You can use the Property Inspector to change the properties of multiple components simultaneously.

When you have multiple components selected, the word "Multiple" appears in the title bar of the Property Inspector, and only the properties shared among the selected components are displayed in the main area. The Property Inspector identifies which shared properties have differing values by representing those values in italics.

When you change the width of the Columns property on the selected Input Text components to 5, the affected input fields on the form are approximately five characters in the browser's current display font.
